*sigh*…I guess they really mean it when they say your home is cozier with a Labrador! 😉

10. The Savannah Cat- $15,000
Savannah cats are no doubt some of the most unique breeds of feline species that cat lovers adore. They can be found naturally in the wild, and they tend to have a long, slim frame that is key for roaming in forest areas with thick bushes.
But why does it cost a pretty penny to have such a pet?
First of all, it’s extremely difficult to breed a Serval with a domesticated cat.
Breeders have to factor in issues such as the compatibility between the two cats, as well as the generational differences they have.
Add in the monthly cost of caring for these animals, and my word, you will spend a fortune!
The first Savannah cats were bred in the 1980s for the sole purpose of enhancing the grandeur of cats, and to resemble the uniqueness and highlights of a cheetah.
In fact, from 2006, they have been revered as the world’s longest and tallest domestic cats. Because of their strong genetic makeup, originating mostly from the Serval, they do not require a lot of feline health maintenance. Nevertheless, it’s advised to always feed them well and keep them in tip-top shape because their kittens have a hefty selling price!
9. Lavender Albino Python- $40,000
While a regular ball python might be a sight for sore eyes, the designer ones are truly drop-dead gorgeous. In fact, these morphs are regularly bred using rare genes to produce visually stunning creatures!
One of the most desired breeds is the stranger ball python. As a rule of thumb, the rarer the morph, the more expensive its price tag.
In fact, the most expensive morph in history was a lavender albino sold for a whopping $40,000. Such pythons usually command a hefty fee because they carry new genes that will result in even more diverse color mutations. Breeders also take their sweet time searching for the perfect concoction of these recessive genes. So, it’s only logical that all the time spent is handsomely rewarded.
Heck, it might even take a breeder years before they perfect a morph and avail it to the public!
8.Camels- $55,000
For years, camels have had a strong association with desert cultures, holding a soft spot in the hearts of oil tycoons living in desert-countries. So, there’s no surprise that the camel rightly deserves to be labelled as one of the most expensive animals in the world.
Their large frame consisting of long legs, a humped back, and a big-lipped snout makes them highly built for dry desert conditions where food is scarce.
In fact, there are two main types of camels; the Bactrian camel and the dromedary camel. The Bactrian camel possesses two humps while the dromedary camel has only one hump.
If that’s not enough, camels have also adapted to arid and semi-arid conditions by evolving a third, clear eyelid that shields their eyes from the effects of blowing sand and sandstorms.
Despite their intrinsic value, camels can be some of the most defiant and stubborn animals to train.
Social by nature, it’s advised to never buy a camel alone, and always get them a partner so that they don’t end up severely depressed!
