Donald Trump halts WHO funding blaming handling of China's covid-19 outbreak

Speaking at the White House President Donald Trump announced that the United States would halt all funding to the UN's World Health Organisation.

He accused the WHO of a cover-up saying they were too slow in their initial response to the outbreak of the pandemic. The WHO declared a global health emergency on 30 January, while President Trump continued to downplay coronavirus comparing it to flu.
