Trump defunds WHO - a 'discredited organisation not doing the job we paid for'

Outsiders host Rowan Dean says there are far more qualified people to do the World Health Organisation's job especially given it would not "distinguish between China, which has gone feral with this virus, and Taiwan which has controlled it".

"Not only are they incompetent, they are liars, and they are dishonest".

It comes as President Donald Trump has suspended funding to the WHO after he accused the "China-centric" body of "severely mismanaging and covering up the spread of the coronavirus".

President Trump said the WHO would lose its $400 million US contribution as he launched an investigation into the organisation's ties to China.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has refused to follow suit though saying we should not throw the baby out with the bath water, but Mr Dean said "the bath water is putrid and the baby is … an Ethiopian Marxist" Dr Tedros Adhanom.

Mr Dean told Sky News host Andrew Bolt the WHO is a "discredited organisation (which) is not fit to purpose (and) it's not doing the job we paid for".

"China has basically owned the World Health Organisation for some time now".
