Putting things into awareness is one of the many benefits of writing poetry, and putting things in awareness, we tend to understand it better. Growing up means having to deal with a lot of tricky things and this entails anger and sadness along the way. But we can make the most from this sadness. A famous saying from Dr. Suess reads "Don't cry cause it's over, be happy because it happened."
