FOR THIS ONE REASON Last Saturday, March 21, the President of the Philippines, declared the 4th week of March 2020, beginning March 22, Sunday, as a “National Week of Prayer” to unite Filipinos in prayer amidst the threat of the Covid-19 disease that has, to date, infected hundreds in the country and has claimed the lives of more than thirty individuals, including healthcare front-liners.
This Sunday, MARCH 29, 2020, join Christians across the country and around the world in observing the national and global “Day of Prayer and Fasting,” to plead with the Lord in solidarity for Him to divinely and mercifully intervene in the midst of our present crisis. We pray, because God's Word says that when His people pray and seek His face in humility, repentance, and brokenness, God will hear us, forgive us, and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14).
From Metro Manila and the Visayas, from the USA and Canada, our small group of singers have joined together to encourage all followers of Jesus Christ in the Philippines and abroad to continue to pray unceasingly and fervently to Almighty God long after this week is done, not just for physical healing, but also for the spiritual healing of our nation and of the world. This is the calling for which we stand – to make disciples of all nations until He comes again.
