Fight for your NHS. Particularly During a Pandemic. Here's Why: Healthcare and Coronavirus part 4 It doesn't take a pandemic for us to know the NHS is worth fighting for. What would it be like if we had it taken away? Healthcare and Coronavirus has been looking at this scary thought, amongst others.

Healthcare, in the form of a well funded single payer system has a multitude of benefits.

Speaking of benefits, I need your help to keep this channel alive. I really do need you help. The channel has a lot of variety with a membership it would help to fund improvements but primarily allow the channel to survive.

Seeing it through the eye of the individual that doesn't pay for their treatment at the point of consumption and doesn't have to worry about dealing with insurance companies, it's clearly beneficial.

The medical and surgical teams that do not have to make decisions primarily on finance as opposed to just concerning themselves with treating their patients see the benefits.

Hospital administrators dealing with a single entity, the UK governments department of health, with regards to finance. Whilst it would be naive to think pressure is not applied to keep costs as low as possible, they are not exposed to the enormous and corrupt practises of a 'for profit' system being coerced by an enormously wealthy and powerful, 'for profit' insurance industry when making buying decisions.

Even a Prime Minister can and has benefited from the joined up and unified medical service of a nationalised healthcare system.

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought our health service in to sharp relief.

We in Europe would have thought it absurd, cruel and probably illegal if it had been suggested that there would be a large proportion of our fellow citizens and, oh, what's the other term for them, oh yes, human beings, that were to be denied healthcare.....during a pandemic of a virulent disease that has never been experienced by man until now.

Thankfully we can't imagine what that is like, for now.

I go in to a bit more depth in the blog where you can follow on so I leave it there. I think you get the picture.
