Handles WELL and can take a HIT. I think...Caudabe Sheath Review iPhone 11 The Caudabe Sheath for the iPhone 11. If you’re looking for a thin TPU-like case, get the Sheath. Now I know there are a ton of brands that sell thin TPU cases AND the only reason why I’m suggesting you go with the Sheath is at least they brand their cases….

At MREH, Monty and I are on an impossible mission where we’re trying to identify the companies that actually try to make decent products WHILE not making ourselves sound like douches.

Honestly, my ad feeds usually get bombarded when I look a product up on a manufacturers website. With Caudaube, I get an add on my instagram feed that features a quote from a larger site that goes along the lines of “If Batman needed a case for his phone, he’d get the ….”

Caudabe. Do better.

The Caudabe sheath is a thin case. It fits quite well and at 0.9mm, it’s going to feel like nothing is there. From a weight perspective.

Officially, it’s made from a material called ShockLite, a soft, gel-like, flexible polymer with excellent shock absorption.

Your iPhone isn’t going to slide around much in the Sheath. It’s better than your clear clases from Peel but doesn’t have the staying power from cases that use a glossier TPU like the Casetify Ultra Impact.

The case has a nice texture on the back of the case. It’s not overly aggressive and the case feels locked into your hand. The best best phrase I can use to describe how the case feels when I squeeze it a bit.

The only downside of the texture is that it’s going to wear over tie. The edges of the case will loose the matte finish and you’ll end up with shiny streaks on the case which isn’t great.

The overall build quality of the case is decent, as the seams of the case aren’t too noticeable, which is something I can’t say of my Otterbox Figura case. Who was in charge of quality control for that product?

When it comes to functionality, I had no issues accessing anything in the iPhone. Buttons work, cutout is large enough for whatever weird cables you’re using and the camera cutout protrudes out enough to keep the camera lenses from touch a whatever flat surface you’ve placed your iPhone on.

When it comes to protection, despite all the marketing fluff on the Caudabe’s website, this is a thin case so don’t expect something like the bullet proof liner that John Wick has in his suit.

The edges of the case are surprisingly tight for a TPU case which indicates the Caudabe uses a better material. If we compare the give on a similar product from Smartish which has a bit more give.

This is important because when you drop your iPhone, you want the case to stay on.
