Qld to benefit from $80 billion in infrastructure projects Queensland is hoping $80 billion worth of infrastructure projects will pull the economy out of its coronavirus downturn.

The state's Royal Automobile Club joined opposition calls to fast track major works such as the Southeast Queensland fast rail.

The state is set to benefit from federal assistance, with Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Michael McCormack expected to announce a $1.8 billion cash injection for local councils.
